CSCA Candid Conversations: Creating a High School S&C Program with Marcello Campanaro

Marcello “Campy” Campanaro completed his undergraduate degree in Physical Education at McMaster University and a Bachelor of Education degree at Queen’s University.  Now retired, he was the Head of Physical Education at M. M. Robinson High School in Burlington, Ontario where he spent 24 years as a coach and teacher. He served as the QB Coach and the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at McMaster University from 1996-2003. In 2004 he moved into the positions of Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the McMaster Marauders.  In 2016-2017 he was the Quarterbacks Coach at the University of Guelph.  His coaching career has also included the role of Offensive Coordinator Burlington Varsity Stampeders.  He is a three-time nominee for the CFL/NFL High School Coach of the Year, a 2012 Recipient McMaster High School Football Coaching Achievement Award and a recipient OFSSA Pete Beach Award 2012, for his dedication, spirit, and contributions to high school sports.
