Fitborough is a different fitness experience, from our experienced personnel to our facility in a retrofitted barn! We take a holistic approach to helping people achieve their fitness and wellness goals by meeting people where they are at, challenging them appropriately and putting them in the right positions to be successful.
We take fitness seriously, but we also have fun during the process and want our members to as well! Fitborough is seeking an individual who will identify with our company values of:
Person First: We meet people where they are at by providing an individualized approach.
Community: We are building a community of supportive members while also being active in our surrounding communities by supporting local businesses & various causes.
Growth: We believe in the concept of Kaizen, or continual improvement both personally and professionally.
Impact: We want our work and involvement in our communities to leave a lasting impact.
Fitborough is actively recruiting an enthusiastic individual to assist in a variety of in-person duties including fitness assessments, and one-on-one and small group personal training sessions. While there may be some associated administrative duties such as scheduling or programming, the primary purpose of this position is to work as a coach with our members. Compensation would be hourly at a rate of between $20-$30/hr dependent on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will receive support for professional development and mentorship by our head coach and owner, Josh Ford who spent 15 years in high performance sport prior to founding Fitborough.
Do you love inspiring others? Giving high fives? Coaching the hell out of people? Picking amazing playlists? Lighting fires under people’s butts? Empowering people to achieve things they never thought were possible? If yes and you know a thing or two about fitness, we should probably talk!
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of fitness coaching experience and must possess a fitness related certification from a national governing body such as the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) or National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) or Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP).
This position would require 8-20 hours per week with potential for growth. Hours may vary (morning, afternoon, evening, weekends) and may be split-shift.
Please submit resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. Position will be open until filled. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
