Standard Membership
A CSCA Standard Membership is available to all individuals interested in obtaining strength and conditioning resources that aim to develop and advance performance for individuals and teams of all levels and abilities.
The CSCA is committed to expanding the diversity and inclusivity of our Membership. We believe that through an inclusive sharing of ideas and values our industry will become stronger and better represent our membership and coaches throughout Canada.
Registration:
- Registration will be completed online using the Membership link on the official CSCA website.
- Standard membership fees are $50 + hst. All fees are in Canadian funds
- The membership will begin on the date of registration confirmation and will auto-renew on a yearly basis on the initial registration date.
Cancellation:
- The Standard Membership cannot be cancelled but will expire at the end of each membership year with nonpayment of yearly fees.
- If a Standard Member wishes to cancel their auto-renewing membership, an email must be sent indicating their desire to terminate the membership.
Student Membership
A CSCA Student Membership is available to all students interested in obtaining strength and conditioning resources that aim to develop and advance performance for individuals and teams of all levels and abilities.
Qualification:
The Student Membership is available to all individuals who are currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary academic institution.
Registration:
- Registration will be completed online using the Membership link on the official CSCA website.
- Student membership fees are $25 + hst. All fees are in Canadian funds.
- The membership will begin on the date of registration confirmation.
- Student Members will be required to upload verification documents at the time of registration and pay membership fees on a yearly basis. There will not be an auto-renew option for the Student Membership.
- Members who no longer qualify for a Student Membership will have the option to upgrade to either the Standard or Professional Membership at the end of their membership year.
Cancellation:
- The Student Membership cannot be cancelled but will expire at the end of each membership year.
Charter Membership – offer expired July 1, 2022
A Charter Membership is available to all individuals who are committing to becoming lifelong members of the CSCA and all of the privileges and benefits associated with the General Membership.
Registration:
- Registration will be completed online using the Membership link on the official CSCA website.
- Founders Club Membership fees are a one-time payment $199 + hst. All fees are in Canadian funds
- The membership will begin on the date of registration confirmation and will auto-renew on a yearly basis on the initial registration date.
- The Charter Membership is a limited time offer and is available only during the first year of the CSCA membership launch.
Cancellation:
- The Founders Club Membership cannot be cancelled and does not have an expiry date.
General Membership Benefits
Standard, Student, and Charter Club active members are entitled to the following benefits and privileges associated with the CSCA unless otherwise noted:
- Discounted rates on conferences and events
- Invitation to serve on a committee
- Access to professional liability insurance
- Ability to become CSCA accredited through the Professional Membership (unavailable to student members)
- Voting privileges at the Annual General Meeting
- Access to private CSCA Member Facebook Page
- Full access to membership portal on CSCA website:
- Access to the professional careers job board
- The ability to post educational events to members
- Discounted rates on all promoted continuing education events
- The choice to be included on a searchable member database
- Continuing education courses
- Business development tools
General Membership Code of Conduct:
All General Members will be required to abide by the CSCA General Member Codes of Conduct
Canadian Strength and Conditioning Association: General Membership Code of Conduct
The Canadian Strength and Conditioning Association aims to elevate the strength and conditioning profession in Canada. This is accomplished by facilitating networking within our profession and providing resources to all members that aim to develop and advance performance for individuals and teams of all levels and abilities.
The CSCA would like to thank all members for joining and engaging in all available online forums and groups. The General Membership Code of Conduct applies to all forums and interactions within our community. Following the values and rules below, all members can expect to be treated with respect.
All CSCA members much adhere to the following while interacting within our community:
- Do not personally attack or harass other members. All discussions, questions, and comments are meant to stimulate productive conversation.
- Hate speech or bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated. Any language that offends a group or individual based on race, sexual orientation, gender, or religion is strictly prohibited.
- Be open to members from different backgrounds and different experience levels. All members, regardless of profession can offer valuable insight and ideas. The CSCA believes in an inclusive sharing of ideas, values, and resources to all members.
By becoming a CSCA General Member and joining our online community you acknowledge that you have read and accept the above participation rules. Reports of violations can be brought to the attention of the Administrator of any CSCA online forum and will be reviewed by the Board of Directors.
Failure to comply with any of the above rules can result in an immediate ban from both our online community and future membership opportunities.
Termination of Membership:
- All General Memberships are subject to termination if it is decided that the conduct of the member is detrimental to the reputation and mission of the CSCA.
