St. Andrew’s College invite applications for a full-time opportunity in a unique role as an Associate Strength and Conditioning Coach reporting to the Director of Athletics and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.
The health and wellness of students and staff at St. Andrew’s College is paramount. The Associate Strength and Conditioning Coach will assist in the development and execution of a robust Strength and Conditioning program. In addition, they will work with the Wellness Team to create, implement and track health and wellness initiatives throughout the School.
The Associate Strength and Conditioning Coach will create and track individual training plans for students and staff, supervise fitness classes, mentor strength and conditioning interns, and work closely with the athletic therapy staff to monitor rehabilitation and post-rehabilitation programs.
We are seeking candidates with post-secondary education in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength and Conditioning or related discipline. A background working in fitness, designing and tracking exercise programs and experience working with youth athletes in an exercise capacity is a requirement. Certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association is a requirement and other certifications including a Bachelor of Education, fitness and nutrition, CPR and First Aid, are all preferred.
Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends and to travel with competitive teams as needed. A desire to get involved in the life of the school including living and working in Residence is a definite asset.
